15 and 16 months

I can't believe it's been over two months since I've posted an update! Danny is doing lots of new things I hope I capture it all.

I'll start with the big deal..walking! From around 14.5 months he was starting to stand without holding on and taking a couple steps in between furniture and then at around 15.5 months he just started taking off! And it's only been about 3 weeks and he's practically running. Watching him stumble and catch his balance is maybe one of the cutest things ever. His specialty is walking while drinking with his head tilted back. That seems like it takes talent.

He has become such a little ham, always doing something to try to get our attention or make us laugh. He stuffs large portions of banana in his mouth which makes him look like a monkey, he LOVES pushing buttons on the electronic equipment and then looking at Daddy to see how he's going to respond, loves splashing in the dog water bowl, throwing balls, clicking his tongue on the top of his mouth and many many other things that I can't recall at the moment. He gives hugs and enjoys taking all his books off his shelf and all his clothes out of his dresser and piling them up after swinging them around. He can get on and off his little cars but hasn't quite figured out how to move forward consistently. What a goof ball.

Since he's become almost a professional walker, he seems to spend less time actually playing with toys and instead just walks around the house, down the hallway, into his room and back in the living room.

He is working on using a spoon to eat one of his favorite foods, yogurt. He has been doing much better with eating food, especially at school. Oh and he goes to school 5 days a week now that I'm working back at the County. At home he still has his usuals that he prefers and tends to resist new foods. In the line up are toast, banana, chicken nuggets, potato fries, sunflower nut butter and jelly sandwiches, cheese, yogurt, bananas, applesauce and of course most any carb (except pasta) he can get his hands on.

He is down to one nap a day, usually for 2- 2.5 hours. He wakes between 6 and 7 usually and goes to bed around 7.

No words yet, but that doesn't stop him from blabbing away. Lots of sounds "na na" is a favorite. Could be banana or Kona as he says it when both are around. Still makes the "ma ma" and "da da" sounds but not usually directed at us. We are trying to introduce some signs to see if that helps with language development.

Oh and he's finally getting some hair. It's filling in quite nicely and we are getting pretty close to cutting some of his blonde hair off.

Just the other day I noticed 2 more teeth cutting through, a molar and a bottom front tooth. These make 8 teeth for him, still lots to go!
