I'm posting a day earlier than usual, but I figured since I have the time and am thinking about I better do it while I can!
Danny continues to be become quite the funny little character. He talks quite a bit now and is doing better at repeating words we say so time to really start watching what we say! He is still obsessed with making animal sounds and all things animals. He also has a car and truck passion as well as those trains. His favorite color is yellow as he says most things are yellow. Just in the past few days he has started to identify other colors and he says purple, orange, red, blue, green, white and of course, yellow. We ask "what color is that?" and without hesitation "Yellow!".
We had a wonderful Christmas with family and of course Danny got too many toys! Most everything seems to be a hit with him, so that's good. He loves his animal train and many of the cars and trucks he got. He likes to roll them around the house. He also enjoys lining up cars and pushing them all together.
He has certainly started asserting his independence as one of his favorite words is "no". He often will throw a little tantrum when he has to do something he doesn't want to like get dressed, change a diaper, put shoes on, etc. He is very aware of when it's time to go "bye bye" and will announce it as we get ready to go.
Oh and most importantly, he is obsessed with all things daddy, pronounced "daayy". When I go to pick him up from daycare he smiles and then looks behind me and says "daayy". He's hilarious in the mornings too. He plays in his crib and just talks away. First thing Christmas morning (at around 7:30!) we hear "hi" "hi" as though he's greeting all his friends in there.
In pregnancy news, things continue to go well. I'm now in the 3rd trimester and this little guy is certainly a mover! I certainly feel big but overall pretty good. I struggled with some pretty painful ligament pain but that seems to have eased up and now I just experience general aches and pains :) Getting a little stressed as we have done nothing so far to prepare for this one's arrival so I'm hoping to get some things done in the next month or so. There's not a ton to do, but we do have do a bit of organizing. Oh and Danny seems to be aware of baby brother as much as can be expected. His face lights up when he sees my stomach and loves to pat, although sometimes it's more of a smack, my stomach. He will give baby brother kisses and says and waves hi to my stomach. When I ask him where baby brother is, he lifts up his shirt to show his belly. Cuteness!
Anyway, that's about it for now!
