may days

It has been too long since the last update but I guess I'm so tired these days that writing hasn't been something I've been up to.

Ryan is 10 weeks now and has really chunked up. At an appointment the other day he was 13 pounds 4 ounces! At his 2 month appointment he was 12 pounds 12 ounces and 23 inches. He continues to eat about every 2-3 hours around the clock with one 4-6 hour stretch he goes at bedtime. Looks like he has reflux as well which has been causing him some discomfort and is now being treated with Zantac which seems to be helping a bit. He is very alert and and gives lots of smiles now which started around 8 weeks. He also coos a lot and is very interested in his big brother!

D is also doing really well. He had his 2 year check up and he was 27 pounds and 34 inches. He seems to have some seasonal allergies (thanks to me!) which we have been treating with OTC meds and it seems to help a bit. His verbal skills have just exploded. He talks in 3-4 word sentences and repeats so much these days we have to really watch what we say. He is also sleeping full time in his big boy bed now. He seems to like it although he has been waking up more in the night and earlier in the morning than he used to. D has always been a solid sleeper so hoping that this is a phase and he will go back to it.

He absolutely ADORES his little brother and always wants to "hold it". He gives him lots of hugs (with his head) and kisses. He has also recently started saying "I love you" which just melts my heart of course. It's been so fun to watch them together and I can't wait to see how their relationship grows as Ryan gets more alert and interactive.
