It's hard to believe that Ryan is already a month old, the time has really flown by and he is no longer that squishy little newborn I brought home. At his 2 week appointment he was 8 lbs 4 oz. He has plumped up quite a bit thanks to his eating every 2 hours around the clock. Oh yes, there is the rare time he will go 3 hours in between feedings, but of course that is during the day and he prefers to go 1-2 hours between feedings at night which is making for a very tired mommy and daddy. He took to nursing very quickly and in that aspect it has been a much easier experience than with D but the frequency of the feedings has been very difficult. This phase goes by so quickly and I know it won't last long so I am trying to enjoy it all.
He is already working on his motor skills which makes me think he will be crawling early. His neck is super strong and when he is on his belly his legs are positioned to move himself forward. So I will be enjoying the lack of mobility he has while he has it. Although he did roll over for the first time today, so I'm sure it won't be long.
There is no real schedule or routine yet, other than the eating every 2 hours. I am trying to follow the sleep, wake, eat, play, sleep routine since it seemed to work with D. And hopefully things will fall into place. Thankfully D still gets a pretty full night of sleep and hasn't been waking up much in the middle of the night.
He is moving on up in sizes already too. We are finishing up newborn diapers and moving into 1's. He has outgrown most of his newborn sized clothes and is in 0-3 months already!
